Style is the New Black

My girl crush on Blake Lively and general fashion crush on Gossip Girl isn’t news to anyone. Sorry Serena…. and Blair… but I think the girls get too much style-oriented attention. After all, everyone agrees that Chuck Bass is the best character on the show, and we know he’s donned some outrageous getups – successfully. I think the President of Bass Enterprises (and his stylist) deserves a little round of applause, don’t you?

It’s probably because of his holier-than-thou self-perception, but royal purple actually works for Chuck. Then again, he humbled himself in the last episode, when he put his pride aside and tried to win Blair back. That’s right – Chuck’s really just a big ol’ NYU fan, and I outed him. I should give him one of my spare tickets to Yankee Stadium for my commencement – I’m sure he’d be thrilled to sit through the two-hour ceremony, listening to Hillary Clinton bark at us. She’s the kind of woman he’s really looking for. Bu-dum-chhh!
